This is what happens to your body when you don’t wash your bed sheets. I won’t be putting it off anymore!
If you sleep about seven hours every night in your bed, you spend 50 hours a week in it. Most of us do not simply sleep between the sheets, we eat on the bed, read, watch a movie, cuddle with our partner or the dog. To sleep is fresh washed sheets is a wonderful feeling, yet we tend to not change them regularly. A risk for your health! Dr. Lisa Ackerley, a specialist in hygiene, says your health is in danger if you sleep in the same sheets for more than 14 days.
It is actually normal to carry bacteria and viruses into your bed, as most of them do not harm us, but these micro-organisms get through bodily fluids and skin cells to our bed sheets and prosper there. Unclean sheets are a health risk.
If you suffer from acne, you should change your pillow case every other day. Acne is caused by bacteria. By changing your pillow case you reduce the contact of your skin with those bacteria.
